We're getting 'The Way Out' ready for distribution. So much work...
After an incredible festival run, The Way Out is preparing to reach a global audience! Our film has been honored with several awards along the way, and each recognition serves as a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication poured into this project from everyone that helped make this happen. Festivals have given us the chance to see audiences connect deeply with the story, and now we’re thrilled to be bringing The Way Out to streaming platforms, where it can reach even more hearts and minds.
But getting a film ready for distribution isn’t just about hitting “publish.” It’s been an exciting—and meticulous—journey behind the scenes. One of the first tasks has been translating the captions into multiple languages. Emmy (she portrays mom in the film) helped us with translating to Tagalog and we're also using Amazon Translate to help translate it into 10 other languages! Accessibility isn’t just a technical checkbox—it’s about breaking down barriers so viewers worldwide can experience the film in their native language.
Next, I’ve been formatting still images from the film to meet the specific requirements of various streaming platforms. Each streamer has its own technical guidelines, and these visuals are often the first impression someone has of the film. Balancing creativity with precision has been key to ensuring every image captures the spirit of The Way Out.
Equally important is the behind-the-scenes work on search terms and keywords. In the vast ocean of streaming content, discoverability is everything. I’ve been fine-tuning these details to help The Way Out surface when someone is scrolling for their next meaningful watch.
Finally, I’m preparing social media campaigns to announce when and where the film will be available. From teaser clips to platform-specific announcements, each post is crafted to not only inform but to build anticipation.
